Kmart #4479, located at 5050 Jonestown Road in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania opened in 1971 and was closed in 2018. The building is now an At Home and Kmart's garden shop remains.

Kmart #3810 - Willow Street, PA (December 2020 Update)

Happy Holidays!
Here's our special Holiday post!

Today we make a return visit to the Willow Street Kmart. This store (as started in my last post) opened in 1991 and is now closing (along with the store in Kingston), leaving Pennsylvania without a single Kmart store.

Note: When I returned on Christmas Eve, the store was the busiest I have ever seen a Kmart in a while.

Kmart #7470 - Hummelstown, PA (November 2020 Update)

The renovation for TJ Maxx has begun. Kmart's façade has been removed, which surprises me because it was a modern-looking façade.

Sears #1224 - Harrisburg, PA

Sears #1224, located at 4600 Jonestown Road in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania opened in 1960 and is not currently closing. The store is located at the Colonial Park Mall in Harrisburg, PA. The Auto Center has already closed.

Kmart #3963 - Elizabethtown, PA (ONE YEAR LATER)

It's hard to believe it, but it's been a whole year since the permanent closure of the Elizabethtown Kmart. Here are some pictures from my most recent visit (November 22). This was always a really nice store and it was a shame to see it go. It also had an updated Little Caesars Pizza Station and a drive-thru pharmacy.

As indicated by the property brochure, the building will likely be subdivided into three spaces in the future.

While the remodel this store received was considered "orange", this store received more colors than the normal black, orange, and tan.

Kmart #3416 - Lancaster, PA (East)

This Kmart opened in the East Towne Center in 1977, as the second Kmart in Lancaster County. The store closed in May 2015 and became Gabe's around 2016. Around 2018, the Gabe's was downsized and an A. C. Moore store was added. In early 2020, the A. C. Moore permanently closed with the rest of the chain, leaving part of the building to be vacant again.

An older photo I took about two years ago. I plan to return soon and get a better quality picture.

Kmart #4313, located at 1094 Haines Road in York, Pennsylvania opened in 1970 and closed in 2017. It is now occupied by a local food pantry.

Kmart #3911 - Columbia, PA (October 2020 Update)

Kmart #3911, located at 3975 Columbia Avenue in Columbia, Pennsylvania opened in 1991 and closed on August 30, 2020. The store was a typical 1990s Series 36. This location is now becoming a U-Haul.
