It was announced for closure on November 7, 2019; a closure sale was started on December 2, 2019; and it closed permanently on February 2, 2020. Kmart #3963, located at 1605 S. Market Street in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania opened in 1993 as the relocation of a Kmart originally operated a store in Elizabethtown located at 1278 S. Market Street, which opened in 1982 and is now a Giant Food store. That site is now occupied by Giant-Carlisle. This store closed on December 1, 2019. Kmart #7725, located at 19563 Coastal Highway in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware opened in 1995 as the first and only Kmart in Sussex County. In 2017, the store was downsized and remodeled to include andThat! by ChristmasTreeShops and PetSmart. This was not only the last Kmart in Delaware but the last on the entire Delmarva peninsula. Kmart #3800, located at 301 College Square in Newark, Delaware opened in 1989 as the relocation of a store at the Castle Mall, which opened in 1976 and closed in 1989 when this store opened. This location closed in November 2018. This location was formerly a Bradlees. Storefront after closure. There appears to be no attempt to cover up the labelscar from the sign. Kmart #7706, located at 744 Cambridge Plaza, located in Cambridge, Maryland opened in 1994 and closed in 2000, after only being open for 6 years. It was torn down in 2019 for new retail stores and offices. Full store after closure. Kmart #4373, located at 1890 Fruitville Pike in Lancaster, Pennsylvania opened in 1970 as the first Kmart in Lancaster County. Others would follow including stores in Lancaster (1977-2015), Ephrata (1981-2020), Elizabethtown (1982-1993), Elizabethtown (1993-2019), Columbia (1991-2020), and Willow Street (1991-2021). This Kmart was expanded in 1993 after the neighboring Weis Market closed. The store was closed in March 2017 and is now occupied by At Home and Aldi.
