The renovation for TJ Maxx has begun. Kmart's façade has been removed, which surprises me because it was a modern-looking façade. Today, we'll be taking a look at the Kmart in Hummelstown, PA. The store opened in 1994 and was fairly large at 108,000 sq. feet. The store was closed in early 2019. As of September 2020, all signage (minus the pharmacy) is still intact, and it still looks very nice! The store reminds me of Bear, DE in many ways. This location was originally located at 583 Main Street in Hummelstown, which is right across the street. Full store entrance and facade. There is a very-faded "For Lease" banner covering part of the "K." Close-up of the logo and banner "Kmart garden shop" sign. The sign is strangely white, (unlike the red sign found at other stores), and looks fairly new.
