SEARS HOME APPLIANCE SHOWROOM #4651 Opened:  2013 Closed:  2018 Address:  223 Shoemaker Rd Photographed:  April 2022 So back in the early 2010s, Sears wanted to replace all their closing full-line stores with smaller-format Hometown, Home Appliance Showroom, Outlet, etc. stores. One of these places where Sears did this was Pottstown where the closing Sears #2484 at Coventry Mall closed in 2012. In April 2013, a smaller Sears Home Appliance Showroom opened up the street. The Home Appliance Showroom lasted for barely five years, closing on April 23, 2018. The part of the building that is now becoming Stowe Medical Group is where the Sears Home Appliance Showroom once was. Google Maps Streetview - September 2015

Sears #2484, located at the Coventry Mall in Pottstown, Pennsylvania opened in 1967 with the mall. It appears to have received an exterior remodel in the 1990s, as it resembles the 1999-build store in Exton . It closed in 2012, Gabe's opened in half of the building in 2017. In 2014, Limerick Furniture opened on the left side. That ended up closing around 2018. There was no separate auto center. Kmart #3196, located at 2200 E. High Street in Pottstown, Pennsylvania (even though it's technically in Sanatoga) opened in 1980 as part of the Sanatoga Shopping Center. It closed in 2014 (2 years after Pottstown's Sears) and became Liberty Thrift Store soon after, in 2016, although Kmart's facade remains to this date.
