Image
We featured this store on the blog many times, so to check out those posts, please click here . Kmart #3810 closed on April 18, 2021; and on April 18, 2022, I documented the abandoned store. It will become an Ocean State Job Lot later this year, which will be the first OSJL in Lancaster County. I still can't believe it's already been a year.........

Enola Rd Exterior:  Grant's Interior (at time of closure):  "Big Kmart" Photographed:  August 2021 Kmart #9123 first opened as Grant's in the late 1960s/early 1970s. In December 1975 a liquidation of Grant's started (however, this was before the whole chain went under). Like it did with many other former Grant's stores, Kmart opened a store here. Due to this store's early closing as Grant's, it also reopened before the bulk of the other Grant's stores as Kmart. This happened on May 6, 1976. In January 2018, along with 102 other Sears and Kmart stores, this store was placed on the chopping block, closing in April of that year. In 2021, AutoZone and Tractor Supply Co. opened in the former Kmart space. The only remnants of Grant's/Kmart are in the left portion of the building.
