Kmart Forever

This Kmart opened in the East Towne Center in 1977, as the second Kmart in Lancaster County. The store closed in May 2015 and became Gabe's around 2016. Around 2018, the Gabe's was downsized and an A. C. Moore store was added. In early 2020, the A. C. Moore permanently closed with the rest of the chain, leaving part of the building to be vacant again. An older photo I took about two years ago. I plan to return soon and get a better quality picture. Kmart #4313, located at 1094 Haines Road in York, Pennsylvania opened in 1970 and closed in 2017. It is now occupied by a local food pantry. Storefront and facade Road sign. If you look closely, you can still see the "swoosh" After closure, before becoming an Emergency Food Hub.
