Sears #2624 opened with the rest of the Capital City Mall in 1974 as one of the mall's original anchors. However, in January 2017, coincidentally in the same round of closures as
my local Kmart, it was announced for permanent closure in March of that year. But that wasn't the last time Camp Hill would see a Sears.
In November 2017, the store was reopened, this time as a Sears Appliances & Mattresses store, with Dick's taking over the majority of the store and replacing Sears as the anchor tenant. As of June 2021, the store is still operating with no intention of closing.
Dick's entrance is located where the main entrances were at the original Sears.
