This was the last operating Kmart in Montgomery County, like the Willow Grove Sears (which was actually the last in all of Pennsylvania). Kmart #3117 opened on March 21, 1974, predating the surrounding properties and buildings by several years. It was, however, announced for closure in 2017, closing in November of that year. In 2019, At Home opened in the space vacated by Kmart.
